Biography

My photography career has now spanned over a decade. After passing the Press Photography qualification from the National Council for the Training of Journalists (NCTJ) in 2001, I got my first job at The Western Mail and Echo in Cardiff. My ambition to have my photos published in national newspapers saw me move to Manchester to work at a national press agency. The jobs were extremely varied, from chasing David Beckham around, to court coverage, and portraits for The Financial Times. Eventually working for myself became an attractive proposition, so I left and begun my freelance career in October 2002. Since then, and with a bit of luck and determination, I have worked for all sorts of businesses, publications and people, on many assignments including international travel for photo shoots with bands, working with charities such as Comic Relief, and on true-life features, one notably featuring the tag-line; “Jeremy Kyle wrecked my marriage” (it was as bonkers as it sounds). A client list can be found here.

My experience of photography and people means I can cover any type of assignment with confidence, and therefore you can trust me to get the job done.
